Hi everybody:
After studying those structures to maintain weights over them, i mean, statical structures which need stability, now it's time to show you some simple structures in movement: the mechanisms. In this case, the shown mechanism is a bit weird but there you can see the same studied components as beams in contact by means of articulations, a sort of engine from which movement is developed and so on.
Enjoy this movie,
And here a bit more complex. You have to realize that this mechanism works without a power supply and an engine because it's a computer simulation.
But finally, here it's something real. The mechanism was filmed for a vehicle brand advertisement.
and others invention from this kinetic sculptor, Theo Jansen, based on movable structures engined by wind energy.
See you in the next lesson,
Manuel B.
Here in this link you can observe an abandoned industrial building in a 360 degrees panorama photograph. You can move and make zoom in every direction.
ResponderEliminarJust then observe the shape of the beams that compose the ceiling or better said, the beams that sustain the roof.

And take a look to this another 360ºphoto to this electric power station, where plenty of metal structures have been built to compose the building.
